🗺️
STEP 01

Pick a route

Choose where you fly from and to. You see the real flight time, so a 45-minute hop or a 7-hour long-haul is your call.

💺
STEP 02

Choose a seat

Window or aisle. Then pick study or focus mode for what you're working on.

🎟️
STEP 03

Get your pass

Your boarding pass slides out with your name, route and flight number. Tap board when you're ready.

🛬
STEP 04

Study, then land

The plane takes off, cruises and lands on the runway. Every minute is saved as you fly.

Three cameras

Pick your view

Switch cameras whenever you like. It's calm enough to glance at, never loud enough to distract.

Why it works

A countdown is easy to ignore.
A flight isn't.

A clear finish line

"Study until we land in Singapore" is easier to stick to than "study for a while".

A ritual to start

Booking, picking a seat and boarding work like a warm-up. By take-off you're already in the zone.

Calm to look at

Slow clouds, haze on the horizon and city lights at night. Nice to glance at, never noisy.

Every minute counts

Flight time goes into your study hours, daily streak and the leaderboard.

Land early if you must

End a flight any time and keep every minute you studied. Close the app and it keeps flying.

FAQ

Before you board

What is Study Flight?

Study Flight is a focus timer inside Xerostate. You book a flight between two real cities, and the flight time becomes your study time. A realistic 3D plane takes off, cruises and lands while you study.

Is Study Flight free?

Yes. Study Flight is free to use with a Xerostate account, on the web and in the Android app.

How long is a flight?

It depends on the route, just like a real flight. Short hops take about 25 to 60 minutes, while long-haul flights such as London to New York take around 7 hours. Pick a route that matches how long you want to study.

What happens if I end the flight early?

You can end a flight at any time. Every minute you studied before ending it is still saved to your study time.

Does my study time count on the leaderboard?

Yes. Minutes studied on a flight are added to your total study time, your streak and the leaderboard, the same as a classic timer session.

Can I close the app during a flight?

Yes. The flight keeps going in the background. When you reopen Study Flight, you rejoin the flight where it is, and the minutes in between are counted.
